MY BIOGRAPHY
My journey towards becoming a songwriter has been unfolding in a rather incremental ways. Songwriting has been a way of self discovery for me. A way to see my life and the lives of those around me.
A way to draw attention to life-problems and talk about its solutions. Most importantly, it has been a way my innermost private world finds expression into the outer world, in the hope it may touch your world in a meaningful way. Songwriting inspires and uplifts me.
It helps me to share my struggles and joy of life. It helps me to talk of life’s follies, its lessons, and the sheer satisfaction that comes from just being myself.
About twenty of my poems have been set to music, about thirteen of them have been published.
Even though many of what I wrote always came to me with melodies, beats, and sounds in my head, I needed to learn the crafts of songwriting in order to perfect it.
I have always found music collaborations a very helpful tool where people come together to merge their strengths to create something powerful, uplifting and beautiful to share with the world.
For this reason, most of my earlier published songs were through collaboration with very fine and talented songwriters and musicians for which I am so grateful.
I was so fortunate to have studied songwriting with an amazing Grammy award winner, Peter Link via Watch fire Music University.
This study exposed me to the craft of songwriting of which I’m still
learning about every day and have continued to grow in.
